This Privacy Policy explains how ZONE app ("ZONE", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and deletes personal data when you use our website and web application.
ZONE app is a consumer fitness application that helps users understand their training, recovery, and readiness data and generate training-related insights and plans. The app may connect with third-party fitness services, including Strava and WHOOP, if you choose to connect them.
ZONE app is not a medical service, healthcare provider, or professional coaching service. Any training recommendations, readiness explanations, or AI-generated outputs are for informational and fitness-support purposes only.
ZONE app is intended for users who are at least 16 years old. If you are under 16, you must not use the app.
Account data: name, email address, profile photo, and authentication information required to create and access your account.
Google sign-in data: If you sign in with Google, we use Google only for authentication. We do not use Google sign-in to access unrelated Google account data.
Strava data: If you connect Strava, we may collect and process fitness activity data such as:
ZONE app does not intentionally collect GPS route or location data from Strava.
WHOOP data: If you connect WHOOP, we may collect and process data such as:
Subjective check-in data: If you provide it, we may collect subjective wellness and training-readiness information such as fatigue, soreness, mood, motivation, stress, confidence, and injury or limitation flags.
Derived training features: ZONE may calculate stable derived features from your data, such as training volume, training consistency, recovery trends, readiness summaries, and training-load indicators.
AI-related input data: When ZONE uses AI, we send only limited, structured information such as stable derived features, goals, readiness summaries, and subjective inputs. We do not send raw Strava or WHOOP records to the AI provider.
ZONE app does not currently use advertising trackers, third-party analytics tools, marketing cookies, or sale of personal data. ZONE does not intentionally collect Strava route/GPS location data. The app may still use strictly necessary technical storage or session mechanisms required for authentication, security, or normal operation.
We use your personal data to create and manage your account, authenticate you, connect your Strava and WHOOP accounts if you choose, import and display your fitness data, calculate training and readiness features, generate training plans and summaries, personalize recommendations, operate and improve the app, respond to support and deletion requests, and comply with legal obligations.
Depending on the context, we process your data based on your consent (especially when connecting Strava or WHOOP), performance of a service you request, legitimate interests such as securing and improving the app, and legal obligations. You may withdraw consent by disconnecting Strava or WHOOP, deleting your account, or contacting us.
ZONE app uses OpenAI to support AI-generated training explanations, summaries, and planning-related outputs. ZONE sends only structured and limited planning inputs to OpenAI. We do not send raw Strava or WHOOP records to OpenAI, and we do not intentionally store AI prompts or responses as separate logs.
AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your individual situation. It is not medical advice and is not professional coaching advice.
Supabase: We use Supabase as our backend and database provider. Supabase stores application data in the EU region.
Google: We use Google sign-in for authentication if you choose that login method.
Strava / WHOOP: If you connect these services, ZONE accesses only the data you authorize through each provider's connection flow.
OpenAI: We use OpenAI to generate AI-assisted summaries, explanations, and bounded planning outputs.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal data.
ZONE stores user data using Supabase. We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data, including user-scoped access controls and backend security practices. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
We keep your account and app data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you disconnect Strava or WHOOP, we stop future syncing and remove the connection tokens. If you delete your account, ZONE deletes your account data and associated app data.
You can delete your account in the app or request deletion by emailing jprietoramosruiz@gmail.com. Please include your name, account email, connected provider (if relevant), and a clear deletion request. Deletion requests are handled normally within 30 days. See our full Data Deletion page.
Depending on your location, including if you are in the European Economic Area, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because ZONE is operated from Spain, you may contact the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
ZONE app is available worldwide. Your data may be processed by service providers outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify users through the app or website.
